MIKE GREEN BEQUEST

Mike Green's son William has been in touch with me informing us that Mike had, in his will, bequeathed some monies for the irrigation system of our club to be upgraded where possible, but any monies can only be used on irrigation i.e. for putting water onto the terrains only.

Consequently the committee decided, along with William's agreement, to replace our old borehole pump, (which we can no longer obtain spare parts for)  with a modern type, which will hopefully give slightly more pressure.

While discussing this with David Jehan, the expert at Stan Brouard's, he informed us that the modern overhead spray lines are designed not to drip after being turned off, which hopefully after being installed, we should not have these little drip trenches that have occurred over the past years.

We are also being supplied with a new tripod and sprayer for the outside terrains

I would like to inform all of you that the total sum for all of this will amount to £3000 and will not cost the club one penny.
