INTERINSULAR 2010
The Jersey team arrived to a bright sunny day with a stiff breeze blowing, which made the trip over just a little bumpy. Arriving only 35 minutes late, (which may be a record for inter insular travel) they all seemed in good spirits and ready for the big match. The team were soon transported to the club where tea and cakes were waiting, then the draw was made and the games begun. After the first 12 games the Jersey team were winning 7 to Guernsey's 5, some by a big margin, not a good start for the home team! Round two ended up 6 games each, still giving the advantage to the away team. Round three saw Jersey stretch the lead by winning 8 to 4, which meant a 6 game lead into the final round. Needing only 4 games from the last 12, the Jersey team were relaxed and confident. The Guernsey team tried everything they could to get back into the match, but they could not overcome Jersey's final onslaught and won only 2 of the 12 games giving Jersey a comfortable and well deserved victory.
