Linda won the ladies competition with 7 wins from 8 games. Her direct style of accurate pointing with very few wasted boule, well suited this 3- boule game, and was effective enough to beat Ladies of vastly more experience. Linda's purple patch continues, adding this victory to her recent winning the Saumarez Park competition, and being in the team to win the Ladies Doubles, these success's earning her a place in the Guernsey Inter Insular team to play Jersey later thus month.
Vikki took the runners up place with the same number of wins as Linda, but with a deficiency of just 9 points. Vikki a "milieu" or "all-rounder" played with the ability to point and to shoot, played an attacking but sensible game to fully deserve this second place.
Pam leading the competition going into the two final rounds, dropped her final match, and with 6 wins had to settle for third place. Pam now lists having finished on the podium in the Ladies Singles three times in the last six years.
