A long time member of the club and winner of many competitions and trophies, he excelled in this singles tournament, his high lob, played in a seemingly relaxed style, worked equally well pointing or shooting.
Graham "Bonnie" Robert took the runners-up place with 9 wins and 36 plus points. Bonnie played well throughout the competition, his good tactical knowledge proved valuable as he won through in some tough matches.
Third place went to "very much in form" John Pedlar. Like Bonnie in second place he won 9 games but trailed him by just 2 plus points. John is a shrewd player with lots of self confidence, and this great result proved his belief well founded.
